Latino American Law Students Association (LALSA) - Cornell University
A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Southern California, Xander Saide is currently attending Cornell Law School, where he is on track to earn his juris doctor in May 2018. Additionally, Xander Saide served as the vice president of the Cornell Latino American Law Students Association (LALSA).
The Latino American Law Student Association was created to promote Latinx issues and create a community where members can share legal opinions and ideas that affect the Latino community. In addition to Cornell, LALSA has chapters at a number of universities.
The Cornell Latino American Law Student Association sponsors events to promote the chapter and the Latinx culture on the university campus. These events include campus celebrations for Hispanic Heritage month, special lecture programs featuring Latinx leaders in the legal community, and the Professional Development Boot Camp, an initiative that serves to update and inform members on Latinx issues in the field of law.
